The Busy Corner story begins with our father Cassiem Dhansay, a first-generation butcher man who dedicated his life to mastering the craft. Holding family, hard work and honesty above all else, these business fundamentals have not changed in more than half a century. Our business may have grown, but our father’s philosophy still runs the organisation. The proud neighbourhood butcher giving customers the opportunity to take home a slice of our most valuable asset: A celebration of fine quality meat.

Our 3 Busy Corner Butcher Shops are bustling from the moment doors open each morning. Since 1956 it is the place where regulars have come to have chat and buy meat, housemade sausages, charcuterie and that great South African staple – the weekend braai. A place where everyone truly knows everyone and every item on our butcher’s menu is carefully curated for quality and provenance. But above all else, there is dedication.
